Established 1984

Established in 1984, the department offers a 3-year Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology and a 4-year B.Voc. in Optometry (added in 2017 under CVTE), with lateral entry available.

Students learn in functional clinical settings — examination cabins, a glazing workshop and a working eye care centre — and take that training into community eye camps across Maharashtra.
